Texas Instruments is seeking a dynamic and experienced Photo/Diffusion Process Engineering Section Manager to lead a team of talented engineers at our newest manufacturing site in Sherman, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in our successful startup and ramp of manufacturing operations. The responsibilities of a Photo/Diffusion Process Engineering Section Manager include:

  • Full ownership and accountability of overall team results and driving the long-term success of the entire section
  • Lead our Photo/Diffusion Process Engineering team in a fast-paced dynamic environment by setting clear expectations, making tactical decisions, and developing strategic plans
  • Drive efficient Photo/Diffusion process releases to meet our startup and ramp schedule
  • Own and deliver daily module operational performance, ensure robust process stability, and keep manufacturing flexibility
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase yield and enable cost leadership
  • Grow, lead, and develop your team of talented engineers and technicians
  • Respond urgently to new quality issues, ensuring timely containment to keep events small and protect our customers, and driving to root cause
  • Collaborate closely with your Equipment Engineering Section Manager peer & Operations counterparts
  • Attend daily operations meetings and provide updates on module status as needed
  • Active communication and relationship building with employees and peers is essential for success

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Science or related engineering field
  • 8 years of Photo or Diffusion 300mm semiconductor manufacturing experience with at least 3 of those years in engineering management 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous 300mm wafer fab startup experience
  • Previous experience in high-mix analog wafer manufacturing
  • Expertise in Photo process engineering (mark robustness optimization, layer transfers, advanced process development)
  • Experience developing and maintaining APC models in Photo or Diffusion areas
  • Ability to work with aggressive timelines and drive for timely results
  • Prior experience successfully developing and managing a team of engineers
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects at the same time
  • Ability to lead cross module teams to identify and solve complex process/integration problems
  • Track record of building strong and collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries
